He was a Battersea Dogs Home employee on his stag night when his best man (who was a crane driver) tied him on top of a crane with a bungee rope. There was a slight vertical misalignment when he landed on one of the iron girders and got his boxers in a twist but, with a "hey-ho and a-down we go" forward thrust, he leaped off just enough to dip his toe in the river, then went whizzing back up accompanied by a round of applause.
Simples!

Blush away, Goosey, but the slight vertical alignment had nothing to do with it! (Wish it did sometimes)...

Sorry, but you need a bit more intuitive than that to get anywhere near the answer!

… somewhere between the bridge and the river - no. In it - no. It's in the past tense so he must gave already been on the bridge before he jumped - possibly. Would it still apply if it was a female?
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Where was the man who jumped off Battersea Bridge into the River Thames?

Up the creek without a paddle?
In deep dodo?
Flying through the air aka Aled Jones!

To give his full name:

Geoffrey Where was the man who jumped off Battersea Bridge into the Thames.

His other half, Mrs Ethel Where, when informed of this, said "I expect he's been on the Old Peculier again".
The Dales - probably fingerprint marks where God's hand touched the world

Nearly there...

He wasn't on the bridge when he jumped, because that was before he jumped!

Please, let's get some reality into this discussion, not foibles...

If he wasn't on the bridge when he jumped, and apart from re-iterating my first reply, he must have been approximately two foot in the air in order to complete his downward mission. Why he decided on this mode of travel, he certainly wasn't a happy bunny! Is it something to do with the recent travel problems?

Some 40 years ago, when he was about 8, our oldest son came home from school and asked me, 'Daddy, what's the last number?'.   I haven't got to the answer yet......

That's an odd question that even blows your mind if you think about it too much!

Plant rice. Knowing this country, next year will be one of the wettest years on record as punishment for the spectacular summer this year.
