Glyphosate/Roundup carefully sprayed or painted on. May need a repeat but frequently works after just one application.

As above Glyphosate is the best.
I have recently bought the Doff Glyphosate weedkiller 1 Litre from the pound shops. In fact it was £2 but did the job for those tough type of weeds with long roots. Especially when they are between the path cracks or awkward places to dig out.
A quick spray and a few days later, dead!

My wife treated me to a weed burner, so I'd purge them with the holy cleansing fire.

I dig them out. Cost in money and environmental damage: nothing.

Looking around here it's been a good year for them so far   :( Don't think I've ever seen so many and even on grassed areas that normally have very few.

Certainly is a good year for dandelions, especially in between and adjacent to paving slabs where you can't dig them out properly!

I also recommend a glyphosate-based weedkiller - I can confirm that Weedol (diquat) only kills the leaves, whatever is says on the packet...
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Dig them up but dig down to at least a spade depth. That gets up the whole taproot. Same with docks.

The only sure way to get rid is by digging them out and getting all of the tap root out as has been mentioned above.

If you simply can't dig spray vinegar on them. It's safer. Don't overdo it though.
