Purple Sprouting Broccoli

While you're waiting for the sprouts to sprout, is it OK to eat some of the leaves? Because I am.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

I don't see why not, mine's sprouting at the moment though, and I keep picking bits off so there'll be nothing left soon!

A few wouldn't hurt but too many will weaken the plant

Yeah, get the scruffy looking oldest ones! Most goodness and plant will lose it anyway. Steam, etc. :D
