I got a good selection from Dobie's this year - Messidrome, Germidour, Printanor and Edenrose for  12.99 plus postage.  The bulbs all look a good size and healthy and there are loads of Edenrose - about 6 bulbs instead of the promised 3.  I might add some of my own saved from this year, it depends if I can fit them all in now!

I bought these as well but for £13.99 without postage!  There were far more cloves than I really needed so I now have 3 rows of garlic, guess I won't have too many friends next year!  An issue I had (I have told Dobies but told them I don't want a refund or more garlic) was that the Messidrome had started to rot in the centre - they are going to check their remaining bulbs - not sure how!

Had the same problem at the local garden centre. It was Thermador with me that had started to rot. Yes I did tell them. Am not too worried as I had plenty of cloves but it's the first time in 10 years that I've had this problem. The manager did say that he'd had to return a whole net once when they sold them loose as every bulb had gone over.

I like Lautrec Wight, which I've grown for a few years, and am also growing (for a second time) Bohemian Rose and Mikulov. Worth growing for the scapes alone, IMO.

Oh that is good to know  :)  I've got Bohemian Rose this year to try , plus my favourite Provence Wight.

Thanks everyone. DD, good to know about soft neck  vs hard neck. Maybe I'll try the later next time.
A lot of my Lyubasha just shrivelled and died before reaching maturity in late spring, first time I'd ever experienced that.
