« on: September 03, 2017, 20:34 »
Hi everyone

Its been a while since ive been able to grow anything with moving house etc but keen to get started again now we've settled in and dealt with new kitchen, bathrooms, inside the house stuff... so now some of the garden has been dug over and manured Im thinking about garlic going in....its been that long I cant remeber what Ive grown in the past...any recommendations please, to help me get restarted?

Thanks ☺

I like Provence Wight as it always seems to do well for me and grow large.

Thanks New Shoot  :)

I think, in the past, I grew Music but cant seem to find it anywhere to buy, so not sure. I know I planted in autumn  and had great success. Its been soooooo long since Ive done any veg growing I cant wait to get going again. I NEED to get my hands in the dirt, have missed it way too much these past few years!   :tongue2: :tongue2:

Thanks again for your help  :)

I've always done very well with Marco planted in November.
Optimism probably a gardeners best tool.

I have had success with quite a few varieties.  The flavour varies quite a bit, as does how long they keep and how well they will do on your soil.

I have had good crops with Red Duke, Sulmona di Rossa and like New Shoot, Provence Wight.

It is worth trying a few different types until you settle on favourites.  I gave up on Music a few years back, never did well for me.

I like it so it makes anyone I talk to in person turn away from my breaths line of fire
To that end Ive always grown Picardy Wight which has always grown well for me and is very strong.
