Strawberry Bed Question
« on: August 27, 2017, 23:43 »
I have been growing my strawberries in the same raised bed for five years! Do I really have to move them to another area as recommended by the experts? I have planted up new plants from the runners in case I decide to start a new bed.
What would you recommend?

I would agree with the other xperts to say yes. Strawberry plantscan be prone to diseases, you don't want to miss out out on lovely strawberries one year & infect the beds they are in, so start your runners off in a new bed & scrap the others

Just don't do what I once did, and move them to where I had recently grown potatoes (same applies to tomatoes)

Verticillium wilt left by the potatoes killed them all :(
