cabbage and calabrese

I am going to try some over wintered cabbage and green broccoli but I wonder when I need to start off the seeds? I want to plant out the young plants in mid September when things have started to cool down a bit.

Thanks mum I will give them a go at the end of the month. The problem here is that it does get very hot during July and August so keeping the seedlings cool and well watered is a task whilst giving them the light they need to grow. I will have a go anyway and see how things go... I may even wait until we are into August before sowing.
