Tomato feed

Went to buy a few odds and ends in Homebase yesterday. Spotted their own brand of tomato feed, which I've used for last five or six years, at £1.95 for a 2 litre container. As I remembered it being at least twice that cost, I got a couple of bottles. When I came to check out I was amazed to see that they'd just charged me 3p a bottle. I dumped my purchases in the car and went back for more, expecting to be charged £1.95. I got the last 2 bottles and it was still just 3p per bottle.

Checked the bottles and there doesn't appear to be an expiry date so checked Homebase on-line and they don't appear to stock their own brand any longer. Could this be why I was charged just 12p for enough tomato fertiliser to last me the next three years?

3p a bottle? Gardener's delight, as they say....

Good for you, it's nice to get a bargain. Homebase changed ownership and have been selling off some of their lines.
