The ides of March yesterday. Rooted in the vulnerability of young things.
I'm happy my charges are well protected. I wouldn't feel like that if I lived further North.
My earlies are in, maincrop desiree going in tomorrow. My plot neighbour will be in the pub. all day  :D

For the last few years I have often put my spuds in on March 16th... decided to delay a bit this year. Although we have had some lovely warm days we are still getting very chilly days and colder-still nights. No rush.
Never keep your wish-bone where your back-bone ought to be.
