The Blue tits trying to get to my Apricot blossom (safely netted for the first time this year)
Full water butts just starting to go down as I water the spring greens that are in the greenhouse border.  They're growing away nicely now.  Hope I'll get some before the end of the month.
The purple sprouting cropping well.  Lovely
Watching for the first signs of asparagus- surely this is the year!!

My Blackberrys are in leaf already and the raspberrys are beginning to get shoots on too.
My 2 trees (Plum, Cherry) are budding up in readiness to flower too, i love spring, by far the best season, the greens of the new laves is my favourite colour.
Love the light nights too.

Frog spawn in the pond.
Fruit bushes budding.
Perennial plants and weeds sprouting.
Almost equal length of day and night.
Local bridge club ridiculously overheated.

Left over potato volunteer foliage poking up through the soil, saying it's warm enough to plant this year's crop. Tomorrow's the day.

Just the whiff of mimosa blossom, the warmth of spring sunshine, the colours of flowers and signs of buds bursting says: Spring!!

Not the time, yet, for going mad with seed sowing or planting very much out. My tatties are staying chitting for a while longer even down here in the sunny south.

It is looking like the mild weather will come to an end next week, looks like a period of large day to night temperature swings, which means frosty nights and near average daytime temperatures. It may be best to wait another week before putting the potatoes in.
