Alcohol, going out for a drink tonight, just me and SWMBO, no kids!!!
Really can't wait, not been out just the 2 of us for nearly a year, and me and SWMBO are both off tomorrow and the kids are at school, woohoo.  :D

Back down to earth, as said, alcohol for tea.  :)

Hope you have a good night!  Cheers!!

The other half of the turkey casserole from earlier in the week here tonight, with mash and beans I expect.  Can't say I'm thrilled, but it will be tasty and hot by the time we get there.

Going on out to an auction through the swirling snow, so it will be chip shop on the way home.  Big night out.   :D

With snow flakes in the air, time to prune the raspberry canes this morning and then warm up with some food.

Lunch is Toad in the hole with carrots, boiled potatoes and kale.

Tea is liver and onion gravy with mash and mushy peas.
Apple pie from freezer and custard.

Brrrr  !!   :(  Squash and cheese potato dauphanoise (sp?) will be warming and comforting later.  Greens if I can be bothered, beans from the freezer if not.

Brrrr indeed.  I've retreated to the kitchen with sofa breaks for various book reading episodes.

Big experiment tonight with homemade silken tofu.  The soy milk is currently cooling in the fridge and so far seems promising.  I think some braised pork and veg, plus a rice dish to go with it  :)

I've got a (very small) piece of lamb and some passata, simmering in the slowcooker,  Greek lemon potatoes and green beans to go with it, I think.

Just picked a load of leeks, carrots, parsnips and Brussels sprouts and picked some of our Roosters from the potato shed for lunch;
Roast Beef and Yorkshire puds.
Bought swede, broccoli and some giant onions that will be boiled.
Our Rhubarb from the freezer and custard.

We will be having some roast beef sandwiches and horseradish for supper.
A half and half loaf sandwich loaf is breadmaking nicely now.

There is a pheasant in the slow cooker with onions and mushrooms and the end of a red wine box .....  ::)  Usual roast veg and some runners from the freezer (too cold to go for sprouts!) to go with.
