my question is

I was sent some cappe gooseberry seeds by a member i hqve grown somw of the seeds and they have grown them and they are still going there are lotts of gooseberrys on the plant but still green as is the gooseberry my question is can i pick them green and will they ripen on my windowsill like i do wilth my tomatoes or just leave them and hope they will ripen on the plant.

Are they under cover Chrissie? I see you're in Northumberland and these plants are in the tomato family so won't take frost.

They are in my little greenhouse but its a plastic one i picked one today to put on my window cill see if it will ripen the plant is healthy was just wondering how long i will have to wait as they have been growing all summer .
