green chillies
« on: August 23, 2016, 20:34 »
Evening All

I have a great crop of green chillies, with lots more on the way, and i was wondering
how to dry them, as there are far to many to use fresh. Any ideas would be welcome. thanks.
keep on digging

I usually open and de seed them, but I suppose you can leave them whole if you want. Incidentally, if you're de seeding a few chillies, wear plastic gloves, I burnt my finger tips once!
Spread them on a tray, and place in a warm oven, that has been turned off, leaving the door slightly open. I repeat this until chillies are dried. Take care oven is switched off, and not too hot or you may cook, or even burn them.
We come from the earth, we return to the earth, and in between we garden.
