Any idea what these are? I found a cluster of them tightly clumped together with the tips almost poking out of the soil, near the trunk of a cherry tree. The biggest is 33 mm There are more still in the soil

They look as though they could be bulbs for perhaps spring flowering flowers???
Can you remember what came up in that area in the last 12 months?

I think they belong to Arum italicum (Lords and Ladies)

Thanks for your replies everyone. The puzzle remains a I didnt plant anything in that position. They are right up against the tree trunk. Some of them are incredibly sticky - so much so that you coud use them instead of a Pritt Stick! I will have to wait and see what comes up.
