garlic / leeks

just lifted my garlic and I've got some leeks ready so they're going in there. Any problems with this ?

 You would be better not doing that.

Leeks and garlic are both the allium ( onion ) family and share many of the same diseases. The garlic has probably been planted since last Autumn, the leeks could be in the ground until next April. That is a year and a half continuous alliums to allow pests and diseases to build up in the soil.
