10 days ago I sowed two varieties of cukes, one of winter squash, and two of courgettes, and put the pots all together in their usual place on the kitchen window sill.

Everything except the Green Bush courgettes (which I'd never grown before) were up in between 5 and 7 days, and having remembered I was interrupted while sowing the Green Bush I wondered whether I'd filled the pots with compost, labelled and watered them, but not actually sown the seeds. 

Cue delicate poking around in the compost with my finger to try to find the seeds, and to the considerable relief of my dignity there they were, a little startled but apparently just thinking about germinating. 

Anyone else had any nervous/senior moments sowing and germinating seeds? (please don't let it be just me!)

Not just you!
I was on a roll of sowing many squash varieties in individual pots.
I opened a new squash packet to put seeds in the pot - only to see seeds already in there 

The last seed packet that I'd had open, already had a pot labelled with that name and seeds inside. So I'm wondering if, somewhere along the production line is a labelled pot with nothing inside, cos the seeds were sown in the next pot 
It seems I may be having some squash surprises this year, may be a lot - depending on how far back I made the mistake IYKWIM
Obviously I need to pay more attention to what I'm doing

Somehow I put a packet of lettuce leaves back in the cauliflower seed packed, I sowed a few pots before I realised that the seeds were totally the wrong size and shape for cauliflower seeds.

I think I rectified the situation, but  I do have a slightly suspicious looking seedling in the cauliflower pot!

Aww Yuss, it is not just you JayG.

I had a "no show" from the Badger Cross marrow seeds, but there, in amongst the far more refined looking jelly melons, were five stonking great seedlings... duh!

Oh, the posts on this thread have made me laugh! I'll try to remember not to make the same mistakes.
