I'm hoping we get Tawny owls

What an egg-cellant idea.  As I keep rabbits too I do have a few mice hanging around.  As a rule they don't bother me (I love all animals), until they found their way into the garage and gnawed through the cable of my brand new strimmer (ignored the old, broken one laying next to it!).

With a heavy heart I laid down poison.  Not only is all the feed kept in there but my hubby keeps his motorbike in there too - God only knows what what happen if they chewed through someothing on his bike :shock:

But owls!!!  Fantastic idea.  Where can I get some?

Edited to add:  Duh!  We already have them!  Can hear them twit-twoo-ing at night!

I use 10 mm gravel about 6" deep in 10!x10 run I swill it down with the hose that is attached to a submersible pump in a large water butt near-by. I let them run free in the garden when my vedge and the wife’s flowers have packed up for the winter. This gives the run a breather and gets all the nasties from under the shrubs etc and the birds love it.
