I haven't got any earlies but I'm going to try a few Charlottes, one to a flower bucket.
Keep them in the greenhouse, but put them out during the day once they pop their heads up.

Ive risked a row today, i usually put mine in around St Patricks Day, but its still nippy out there, but certainly drying out a bit.
Only reason ive put a row in today is because im away next weekend, so it will be the week after before i can get others in.
Soil temp on my allotment is a steady 9 degrees, not great, but theyve got 2 chances, ive been lucky the last 5 years putting them all in at this time, hopefully i wont catch a cold this year as it will be a fair few weeks before they push up throught the ridge. Fingers crossed

Bit late this year as recovering from back surgery...

Last year's planting was:

Sharpes and RDoY in bags   07/02   Havested 09/05  Sharpes good crop, rdoy OK too many small ones.
Charlottes in bags               21/02   Havested 22/05 good crop
Main in ground                    07/03   King Edward,Setanta  Trench. Manure and Chicken pellets. 8" deep
Charlottes bags                   08/03
Setanta bags                      16/03
Mains in ground                  29/03   Setanta,Sarpo Mira,Estima.Trowel. Manure and Chicken pellets.  6" deep
Mains in ground                  02/05   Sarpo Mira, King Edwards Trench. Manure and Chicken pellets.  6" deep
