Ulster Chieftain
« on: February 17, 2016, 21:39 »
I am searching high and low for the well-known, low-cropping and disease-prone potato Ulster Chieftain because it is a favourite of my uncle. I would like to give him some as a gift. I gather this potato has superb flavour. I cannot find it anywhere! Has anyone got a few tubers they can spare? And can I make the point that it has one of the best name of any potato out there!

This is the right time to attend a potato fair, if you can find any locally.

Ulster Chieftain is quite a specialist tuber and you may find it difficult to get anyone to relinquish part of their special order.

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
