Roseval Potatoes

Last year I grew this variety, a red variation of Charlotte, and very nice they were too, BUT I found out too late that they are prone to blight and for the first time in my 45 years of vegetable growing it struck.  Lesson learned.

Hi  :) How was the flavour of these potatoes? Are they waxy? They sound great, am tempted to try a few as I love Charlottes.

They are waxy like Charlotte but pink and the potato itself can have pink areas too.  Fortunately I noticed the blight on the leaves at an early stage so I was able to whip the tops off and dispose of them before they affected the tubers.  I don't know where you can buy them in England because we bought them in France - legal for private use.  They are well worth a try so long as you are vigilant because the flavour is excellent.
