I've been given a huge branch of Rosemary today, from someone on the lottie, I don't want to try to repot it as I already have a couple of plants, any ideas on what to do with it?  In the meantime, is it best to leave the leaves on the branch and put it in a dark cupboard, or strip the leaves and put them in the fridge or a jar?

With everything that's going on at the moment, that's not really being talked about!  We may go to Valencia for a long weekend after the funeral but can't think about booking stuff and hassling him at the moment, I think I'll probably go to Greece on my own - it's a shame because we've probably lost out on the cheap deals now, but hey ho.

I'd be tempted to strip bottom 6" and keep it in a vase of water (in full light)

To regrow the plant do you mean, or just to keep it fresh until I use it, won't the leaves start dropping off?

I haven't got a big vase or anywhere to put a big vase if I had one at the moment,  so I'm going to buy some olive oil and put the rosemary in bottles, can't think what else to do with it at the moment.

Wiggy is right, as so often, Masha, they will last best as a cut flower, you surely have a bucket.

By no means put them in the fridge.

Found something, they're on a kitchen counter as I don't have a window ledge to put them on, I will probably make oil with some, and freeze some in ice cubes, or make up some sauces to freeze, just couldn't turn it down as I love Rosemary - I just thought all the leaves would start to drop off everywhere, but Ive done it anyway!

Rosemary needles in olive oil will ferment.  Too much yeast on the needles.

Keep it in the fridge & consume within ?? ... a month ?
