Doh!
« on: November 19, 2015, 20:37 »
My broad beans always get eaten by mice if I plant them outside, so this year I carefully planted them in modules and placed them in the greenhouse to germinate. Unfortunately I made the silly mistake of putting them on the ground :nowink: Sure enough, when I checked to see how they were doing, all the modules had been raided and the seeds removed  When I moved the empty modules there was a little pile of beans hoarded underneath. I've tried planting them again and put them on some staging, so we'll see how it goes. Live and learn (slowly)

Even on the staging the mice will get to them - I lost all my sweet peas one year.
Now, I put sheets of glass or fine mesh wire over the top until they germinate.
