Plant Identification Help
« on: October 25, 2015, 18:31 »
Hello all,

Can anyone help identify the plant in the picture please? It was collected by a friend from a garden in Cumbria, with the permission of the owner/tenant who didn't have a clue what it was either.

Sorry about the clarity.

Many thanks

Could be a dianthus spp.
We come from the earth, we return to the earth, and in between we garden.

I know what you mean.  The flowers would be grouped into flat heads if it was a Sweet William.

Could be a dianthus spp.

That is as close as I can get as well.  It does look like one of the taller dianthus varieties, but the picture is a bit too fuzzy when you zoom in to guess at which one.
