Over wintering french beans
« on: October 17, 2015, 13:40 »
Silly me sowed a very late row of dwarf French beans. They are not looking so happy with the cold weather. I wondered if I could put a cloche tunnel over them and keep them going? Any idea what the minimum temp is they are happy with? has anyone successfully grown them in a poly tunnel over winter?

I think they're half hardy annuals at best and don't stand a chance of making it through winter. First hard frost and they'll be gone. Dig them in as green manure.
