lils got the trots

please help as lil my smallest chicken has got the trots she is eating and drinking ok but has runny poo what can i do

Have you wormed here recently ? Worms can cause diarrhea.

If she is hot under her wing [compared to another hen] she may have a gut infection requiring antibiotics.

Make sure she gets lots of water to drink.

Are the other birds OK ?

yep other hens are fine she doesnt feel hot wormed them last sat

Might be worth adding some eloctrolytes, (the same as we might take if we had the same!), to her water if she gets really bad in case she gets dehydrated. You can get them from the chemist and not expensive.

I have one hen who has been runny for a year or so, yet she is otherwise active and seems healthy. I've tried all sorts and decided that's just how she is now as she's getting to be an old lady!

Could be something she ate. Keep an eye on her, if she stops eating or drinking or sits down a lot she may well require some antibiotics.
