Does anyone have actual experience of growing this please?

I managed to buy one in a sale today, and have read quite a lot about it already, but I cannot see whether it dies down over winter, or should I protect the crown with a cloche?

I have always wanted to grow a blue variety and this is one that is fertile as well, so am ridiculously excited now. I have a good spot for it; open but fairly sheltered, partly shaded in Summer, with decent soil, so just need to get it through the winter.

I guess as 29 people have read this and not replied, that it is not a plant grown by many.

When you see something good for £3 in  sale it is hard to resist though

I shall have to err on the side of caution and try to keep the worst of the winter wet off the crown, whether it still has leaves or not
