Lakeland do a gluten free bread mix which has my sister's recommendation. She uses it all the time.

Thanks for the tip! I made a gluten free tart yesterday with home grown produce which tasted pretty good. It is all possible - just have to explore more!

Just harvested my sweet potatoes, not sure if I'm too early but results are more positive than last year. These were grown from 3 slips (which were grown off my own harvested sweet potato last year) not bad for a blow away greenhouse.

They look lovely, Hayleynotts. I bet they're really sweet straight from the ground.

They've gone straight into a sweet potato and orange soup which is absolutely delicious

About to harvest my 5 "very expensive" slips this week-end.  Will post the results.

I have oca growing this year thanks to some generous members in here who sent me some - the bushes are huge (but didn't flower) so it will be interesting to see what I get in a few months.

I think I can eat Jerusalem artichoke but I am a bit dubious about the wind aspect I have to admit.

This is my 6th year of growing ocas and the 1st time I've seen them flower - 2 out of 10 or so plants.

All looks and sounds very promising! I have to say I am not missing potatoes as much as I thought I might - I have had chips once and a sneaky roast potato but have otherwise been good. It will be harder now winter and the traditional Sunday roast is approaching though!

Maybe you could try grilled polenta with your roasts or even some 'farinata chips' made of chickpea flour? Not the same, but better than nothing. How do Yorkshire puds work with gluten-free flour?

I grew some on both mine and my wifes allotments and also gave some to my neighbour on the allotment next door but nothing doing. However we are on the coast in North Wales. I have got two plants in a potatoe bag in my greenhouse at home and will empty it soon and post the result on here.

I think they really need to be in a greenhouse or poly tunnel except in very hot and long summers.
