« on: September 01, 2015, 08:52 »
Had a bad storm yesterday so this morning harvested some of the San Marzano tomatos to make passata before the go blighty. I picked the ripe tomatoes from three plants and filled a basin! These tomatoes a seriously big for a plum tomato, 6 weighed on at 990g so about 150g each. I hope they make a nice passata :) got a lot more to do here is a photo.

Mmmmm they are lovely, and great to get so many at once so you can have a good session. We are ahead so I already have a couple of dozen bottles of whole and a dozen of sauce, but the drought put paid to the rest, especially with the short wet spell which made what was there split.

Enjoy, they are lovely.
