There have only been 2 topics in 2015 in Show Bench and no 'Big onion' pictures in Onions from Seed.

Is there less interest in Showing or have you all had a bad season? Exhibits at my local shows have been well up to standard.

Just come home from our heaviest and longest show. Apart from one grotesque onion and a long runner bean everything looks to be more shorter or lighter than last year. I think the winning heavy beetroot was about 1kg which was far smaller than the 3.6kg that won a few years ago.

We're all amateurs compared to Peter Glazebrook and chums though and don't grow the show stuff in polytunnels. It's just for fun.
