We have seen our first red lily beetle well actually in July yesterday noticed what I thought was caterpillar poo on the underside of Stargazer Lily leaves .... then it moved  it  was the larvae we took off all the leaves and burnt them oooo yuck

They look disgusting don't they  I've given up with lilies because of them

If they were bigger they would get a part in Dr Who !
