Size of Coop for Bantams
« on: July 30, 2015, 07:27 »
Hi  I have started keeping pekin, silkie and polish bantams and have been able to buy some young breeding pairs/trios.  Most of the time they will be kept in large coops/runs together but when I want them to breed I want to be able to separate them. I have seen a 'Viva Pet House' which is approx. 50cms sq, is that going to be too small for a pair of bantams?? ??? ???

only concern would be it might be too light in there and would you keep the cockerel in with the female as he might want to continue to mate. Would you make a run to go with it?
