Plum moth problem.
« on: July 16, 2015, 14:16 »
After a bad season due to plum moth damage the year before last, I invested in a plum moth trap.  It worked well last year but this year I have about a hundred of the little blighters stuck to the card.  I've just been out and replaced the card with the second on.

Here's to plum jam and plum wine.   Cheers,  Tony. :D
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

I was very pleased the first time I used the moth traps but have not done it for a while - with not many plums on my tree, I bet the fruit will be very maggoty this year

The first year we suffered badly with brown rot so I megga pruned the tree, looked more like a small telegraph pole.  But the branches sprouted again and fingers crossed.. .   Cheers,  Tony. ;)
