Digging up crocus bulbs
« on: July 09, 2015, 14:11 »
I have a front border of which one part is full of crocus bulbs that have now died down. I want to dig over the area and move them to my roadside border where I have some gaps so I can plant some heucheras. Is it too early to do that?
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

If they have died back completely they should be ok. I waited till the saffron leaves were brown and crispy before moving the bulbs.

Yes I agree - if not moved in the green, it is the best time to do it.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
