Ladybirds at last

I haven't seen many adults, but my broad beans are covered in the larvae.

The adults must be having a well earned rest after their activities

I've not seen any ladybirds at all!   

Nope me either and it's certainly not for a lack of food !  I've been so busy squishing black / green fly I've not squished any asparagus beetles.

I've spotted 1 or 2 on the dwarf beans. Good job,as there are more than enough black fly for them.

I'm lucky we've got quite a lot. We moved here nearly 3 years ago and this garden has always got ladybirds. I've noticed even in the winter when I'm clearing leaves I find them tucked away so I try not to disturb them. Could be because the garden is surrounded by beach & oak trees next to a wood with farmland surrounding us. But despite having so many my plants still get attacked by greenfly!
