Crikey!
« on: June 27, 2015, 10:37 »
In my valiant battle against the 'blackfly on the broad beans' this year...yesterday I installed 17 French marigold plants - in pots...plus I added garlic to my soapy water spray.
Every day (EVERY day!!) I visit the allotment to find hoards of the beasts have installed themselves again overnight.
Today...I counted TWO....count them..one, two. Side shoots are looking big, bushy, full of healthy flowers and clear of beasties....so...is there light at the end of my tunnel???? ;)
Carpe Diem

So it turns out the light at end of tunnel WAS a train...!!!...what I thought were dead petals on end of beans...you've guessed it.. clusters of beasties.  DUH!!!  They got squished and sprayed and onward and upward!  I WILL get beans, I will, I will....la la la...  ???
