what's wrong with my turnips?
« on: June 21, 2015, 19:34 »
The Snowball turnips that I have grown look lovely on the outside (apart from the leaves full of holes from flea beetle), but when I cut into them they are full of little brown tunnels, mostly at the top of the turnip.

Would these also be caused by flea beetle, or something else, and is there anything I can do to prevent it?

Thanks.

Thanks, Mum  -  Enviromesh it is, then.  My whole plot is beginning to look like tent city, but I don't want to use any chemicals, so I'll just have to cover them.  Hopefully, the next batch will be edible.
