another leek question

another leek question

should i pot these on plant out, or let them get bigger. last year i did 10 to a pot and they were easier to let get quite sturdy before going out. know there are leek experts here to put me right. ta

I'd maybe give them a feed, but leave them where they are.

I'd do wot Mum says!  ;)

They're not that overcrowded, and some people trim the roots when they plant them out anyway, which might help if some of them are a bit tangled up.
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

thank you both for your replies, i will give them a feed. have got another bigger pot with more leeks just coming through so no need to worry about them either. i just love this forum every one is so knowledgeable.

Mine look like that but I usually wait for them to get a bit more stem thickness before I pot them on.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

just found green fly on one of the pots, tried rubbing them off. thought, leek and onions did,nt suffer from them, never had a problem before.

No, tomato feed encourages flowers and fruiting - something you don't want leeks to do.

Just use a balanced veg feed, Wilkos do a fairly cheap one and I expect you'll find something similar in the pound shops  ;)
