And Kew Gardens is generally 17 with lows of 7 for the next week except tomorrow which is warmer - 19 and 12. Also dry from tomorrow until Monday.  My plot is a little exposed but not expecting anything dire now.

I was going to try starting them in guttering this year as seems to be the trend, but I got dizzy halfway up the ladder.

hahahahaha. that made me smile DD.  Our Peas are still in guttering ...........in PT :)

I heard the frost was coming back so covered up the Kiwi last night, didn't have to scrape the car at 5am though and temp was 6

Lunchtime news says lows of 6 tonight with possible ground frost in rural areas in the north. Where does north meet south?

Tomorrow is the saints day of St Sophia, sometimes called Cold Sophie, one of the Ice Saints.

Snap!

Interestingly a newbie who planted out shop bought tom plants and squash of some sort 3 weeks ago now has flowers on the toms  I was sure they were all going to die! The squash looks a bit 'tatty' but surviving...

Quite a few people put their tenders out last weekend so I am now thinking about it as mine are now in the blow away even at night so quite well hardened off...
