I've just finished putting all mine back outside.. the kitchen looked like a garden centre overnight!

Worth the effort though.

Our forecast for next week has some chilly nights, down to about 5 degC, which the tomatoes or peppers certainly won't like much  ::)

Just put mine back out too.   The temp only went down to 7C last night.

Was cold here this morning (much colder that forecast), and some stuff was in the greenhouse that really shouldn't have been!

I am now wondering why I was so lazy last night, will find out tomorrow what survived and what did not.  It could be a very depressing time... but no one to blame but myself!

The roof of the workshop was white with hoar frost this morning after a clear night and my little heart plummeted.   :(  But when I checked, the cold frame max min thermometer says it went down to 3, but the the french beans in there are all fine and potatoes are all fine, so whew!   :)  Everything else tender came in, and yes it did look like a garden centre.  Nice day today and pouring rain tomorrow, so that should be it for the frosts.  I'm off to get beetroot in the ground so it can be nicely rained in tomorrow.

Down at plot this morning. One of my spuds frosted as the leaf was poking through fleece😱😱😱
Main point I noticed was some spuds on other plots unprotected but perfectly ok. Clearly location matters these plots were sheltered by trees mine is completely exposed! Forecast here still looks ominous to me...too close to call I reckon.

Cheers HH

Location makes a huge difference. I am protected by trees whereas other plots get much more frosted.

On the flip side, I get more shade than them....

Ummm 4:10am can't sleep and it's 8.7C in the unheated greenhouse which is much better than 2.2C yesterday

We'd left everything out last night, and it seems they didn't mind at all!

Funny old times aren't they...

I brought my things from the blowaways to the greenhouse last night and they look okay this morning.  It went down to 6C in the garden and the same again forecast for tonight in our area.

The weather is not much fun atm is it?

Our max forecast temp today is only 10 - hate to think what tonight's low could be  :(
Everything will be coming in for a few days, to be on the safeside, but the weather doesn't look to be much better next week either   ::)

Its grey and wet and windy and chilly, but not clear and cold enough for frosts.  Just depressing after the lovely day yesterday.  I hold out no great hopes for the weekend - the bbq can stay in the shed.   :(
