One of the joys of picking up many of my seeds from the local GC when they do their end of season  20p seed sale is that I end up with varieties I've not had before.

Memory not being what it once was I am therefore often taken aback when I look in my seed box and find something I didn't know I had.

Today's surprise was 'Outdoor Girl' tomato. I planted about 10 seeds today and they are in the heated propagator - but I know nothing of them, are they worth the effort? A quick search seems to indicate that people like 'em.

Anyone 'have any experience' (that they can share on a public forum) with 'Outdoor Girl' ?

I tried them many years ago, and never grown them again - which says a lot!

They are easy to grow but not much taste IMO.

I've never grown them, but they sound a breath of fresh air Balders.
A medium sized fruit that isn't phased by cold weather either... how rare is that these days ? Good luck with them.

As for taste, I see Moneymaker makes it into 4th place in the overall popularity poll.
Tomatoes are a fascinating fruit.
