Sick chicken.
« on: January 25, 2015, 10:02 »
The hen is two and a half years old,at the moment she still looks and feels ok. she has stopped eating and drinking and stands around facing walls. I have given her a bath and washed dirty knickers. Her pooh is runney and dark brown. She has been in the warmth for 20 hours. Still not interested in any food. This is the second hen which started to do this. The first one died. If you have seen this before please let me know. Thank you

I think you need to take her to a vets, she may have a broken egg inside which can prove fatal, or it could be a soft shelled egg or even a stuck egg.
Staffies are softer than you think.

unfortunately the wild birds bring in many nasty illnesses so she may have picked up a virus or something

think a trip to the vet would be wise
