I would not try to squeeze raspberries into a 2' x 1' space.  They spread by underground roots and will soon take over the bed.  As for blueberries, I'm not convinced you'll get anything much from a 1' x 1' space.

The squash will take over the space you've allocated - can they trail along a path next to the bed instead of on it?

Yeah raspberries need room to sprawl and the blueberry bush would do better in its own space too. If you want to maximize your growing space remember to use vertical space when you can but remember to position them so that they don't shade out the lower growing veg.

That's what I'm thinking of loTuSeed, I'm having strawberries in pots vertically, raspberries are going up, seeking if its possible to train the squash upward and also doing some beans up.
I think ill keep the blueberry in its big pot and move everything else left over to the other side of the bed.
Might try the squash in a big pot and go vertical with that too.

Any ideas on that?

Thanks again by the way

on one of the TV shows (can't recall which  ::)) recently, they put strawberries in guttering and ran it along the fence.  that might be another possibility for you, maybe along the front of the bed (2 feet deep?)

I inadvertently grew an unknown variety of squash along a fence behind my blueberry bushes. They did this of their own accord and did quite well, but I think the size of squash you plan to grow could greatly affect results. Mine were only the size of apples so I didn't have to worry about them snapping off from their own weight.

Definitely blueberries in a pot, I find this can work better than in the ground, maybe because it's easier to keep the soil acidic.

But you get far more blueberries if you have two plants (even the self fertile ones).

Ooh fab!I mentioned the glittering idea in the past and was told firmly there will be NO 'ugly' glittering in the garden. (I thought about doing it up the side of the shed with strawbs and lettuce, aww well!)

The squash I'm growing will be small sugar so I think I'd need some old nylons to support them. I'm leaning further and further towards this idea now.

I may buy another blueberry then this year, top up the soil too just to keep it how they like it :)
Thanks everyone! :)

Sorry! Me not being clear! Due to having back issues from a prior accident and having a small baby, last year I couldn't make my raised beds (stone and cement) or clear the soil myself Oslo I paid my cousin to do it. He ended up going fishing or to the pub instead of helping me.
I did grow some blueberries, tomatoes and strawbs in pots but I didn't get as far as I wanted.
