Hi everybody. My raspberry's are still producing loads of fruit. Not a bad thing I'm sure, but should I let them continue, or sacrifice the remaining fruit by pruning back so they can get ready for next year? I wouldn't have thought a few more weeks would make much difference.

Unless there's a hard early frost mine usually keep going till mid November. Trouble is they lack sweetness so end up in mixed fruit jam.

I see little point in cutting them off. The plant reabsorbs elements from the leaves as they die off so best to leave the plants until all leaves fallen. Proper time is January. I still have some fruit on mine but they are not good to eat, not sweet and watery. I suppose they can still produce fruit while there are bees to pollinate the flowers.
