should i remove the growth tips and small marrows?

should i remove the growth tips to try and stop the marrows from producing more growth and the small marrows so the plants can put the energy into making the marrows that are relatively big reach full size before winter gets here?

I've stopped everything (squashes) just after the last fruit quite a while ago now, but the courgette just insists on carrying on regardless....
