Hi there.
We need a new throttle cable for a Alko farmer 3500 cultivator as the existing one has jammed.
Its a Tecumseh Prisma37 engine, with electronic ignition.
Any idea where to get one from, someone suggested a brake cable from bike shop?
Or do you think a drop of oil down the cable would free it?
Look forward to any advice you can give me.
Has anyone got a diagram for spares for the above cultivator (exploded view) please.

Just Googled it and http://www.motoruf.de/n/ersatzteillisten.html?id=424443 came up. It looks like a single strand inner wire type cable, so multi-strand bycicle cables won't work. These single strand types do like to be oiled, remove and lubricate it properly so the oil runs right through. If it is still stiff, the drawing should enable you to get a new cable from an Al-Ko dealer.
