Oh Babe, I'm so sorry !

I know quite a few people with a foxwatch and you are the only one I know who has had that happen.  It does take a couple of weeks for the fox to realise it should keep away to avoid the noise, or pherhaps your fox is deaf

the 2nd one has been in for a couple of weeks now aunty.

fox is just a stubborn greedy person...... but my rifle is all ready.... mr foxy is going to die.

sorry to all fox lovers but my chooks have been through  enough, theyve all been either bit or killed now.

I am so sorry that this keeps happening Babe. I lost five of my chicks in one go last summer (to a fox) I think that if I had this problem and my girls were constantly being attacked I would also want a permenant solution.

Babe I am so so sorry!
This particular fox is very cunning -and very hungry. You can assume unfortunately with this animal Fox watch does not work. I'd be tempted to trap it and either have it shot humanely by a local gamekeeper or release where you are confident no poultry around.
Now I will be shot down for this but I have a local vet who was prepared to euthanise a fox if needs be -this was because I found a badly hurt one once and it was an emergency.

it will be done humanely. one shot is all it will take. im not a great shot, but dad is and shoots every week. i wouldnt just let anyone take a pot shot.

but this is the 3rd attck and its just not fair on the chickens. they dont deserve to keep being terrified like this.

watching them unhappy isnt nice. i know it sounds like im being harsh on the fox. but he's had 7 chooks and 2 ducks. he's had enough free takeaway from my garden.

Oh Babe, that's terrible, at least the fox didn't kill any this time - are they badly bitten? Do you think they'll be ok?

thank you aunty, i cant help it. i love my chickens. they are the cutest funniest things ive ever seen. and to see them now all sad and mopey. i hate it.

and im sure anyone who has had to clear up after the carnage of losing any of their birds, let alone 9 in one go due to a fox would understand.

chicken chicken actually screamed today while i was cleaning her up, she's asleep now on a bath sheet next to me on the sofa. she looks so poorly.

Did you say previously that it would not be possible to use an electric fence for the chicken garden Babe ?

dad's going to have an interior fence put up, 2ft inside the main fence. 8ft tall with the top 18" bent outwards and 18" deep into the ground.

im not keen on electric as we have lots of hedgehogs around here and the shocks can kill them.
