Has anyone painted their shed a whacky colour? (or any colour!)

Care to share a photo?!  :)

I am browsing the colours at http://www.sadolin.co.uk/homeowner/products/garden/superdecopaquewoodprotection/colours

considering limestone or purple grape - my shed really really really needs a coat of paint.....

Our shed is ''baltimore blue'' to match the house, but it's more of an outbuilding than a shed; the walls are made of this funny lumpy concretey stuff with stones in (like pebbledash but it's like that through the depth of the wall, not just on the surface)

mine is just treated with oak-coloured stain. I was advised to keep it as plain as possible, because something that stands out is more likely to get broken into.

The oak coloured stain also allows the wood to breathe, something that gloss wouldn't.

Oh Flowergirl, that is really lovely - if it were mine I'd be tempted to paint big sunflowers or something growing up the sides and door :D

:D That's our one - we got a stable-style door (with a horseshoe tacked on) for it and a new roof this year.

Our hens are to the left of the door (but you can't see them because of the bushes  )

Rosie, round these parts, that building would not be called a shed - it would be called a house  :!:  :!:  :!:

Is that because they can be seen from Baltimore on a clear day?

flower girl i was thinking purple OR blue but i could do purple with a blue door and use the rest of the blue on a raised bed.......It looks really good and I hadn't thought of mixing the colours!

Rosie, that looks like a little cottage! It's very cute!

I *might* but it's a big might cos it may be better for things to grow there - put a blackboard in a frame on the side of the shed for the kids to chalk on...a big one :) I think that might be quite fun :)

These aren't my ideas btw - i bought a book called Gardens for Children (I think) years agoo and it's full of amazing fun and colourful ideas which i want to put into practice. I can't find it atm though so I am hoping i will find it in the books under the coffee table when I go downstairs. Every other gardening book is there but not that one!

 Very funny, I chose the colour myself :D

We may well be going to Baltimore on holiday next month -- Baltimore in County Cork, that is

It is a bit of a big shed though I guess - it came with the house and I had originally wanted to have it knocked down, but it kind of grows on you and we wouldn't be without it now :D
