to save space my runners grow either side of a path, poles meeting in middle 10 inch soil each side and walk thru to pick

sounds like a good idea.

unfortunately my spuds are growing out of control and have taken over the path despite being tied back every week.

maybe something to look into for next year though. would have to be a big old arch for me as im 6ft 2. hmmmmmmmmmm
