Anyone know if these can be frozen. Got a massive crop and would rather do something other than jam.

Can someone please let me know what Jostaberries are as I've never heard of them.

Jostaberry is a cross between the Blackcurrant and the Gooseberry.

You certainly do when you're growing things  :D

This is only the 2nd year for my Jostaberry and the first fruit is nearly ready - can't wait to taste some  ;)

I'm sharing mine with a blackbird but there are a lot. Three of the family like them but one is not so fond. When they go really black they are delicious(imho).

Since my original posting asking what a Jostaberry is ... I think we've got one.

When we first moved here we bought a job lot of gooseberry, redcurrant and blackcurrant bushes from a village hall, none of them had labels on.  One of the bushes has always been a bit of a mystery as it was sort of like a blackcurrant but the fruit are larger and a different taste.  Just thought we'd got a rogue blackcurrant

Have just been outside to have another look at it and pictures on the tinternet and yes I'm pretty sure it is a Jostaberry.
