These small little beetles have appeared on a hooligan pumpkin flower are they friend or foe?

Pollen beetles, - they spoil the look of flowers but they don't do any damage

Do they move on then after a certain time and do they help pollination? Just curious because I have never seen them before.

They don't do any harm at all but don't go out into the countryside with a yellow top on. You will be covered in them lol

That happened to me  a few years back when on holiday in Suffolk.i had this bright yellow Tshirt which I really liked until I stepped out of our caravan and was immediately covered in these black things. It frightened the living day lights out of me and the Tshirt went I  the bin
